  • Our book sale offers a wide assortment of materials: paperback and hardcover novels, poetry collections, history books, biographies, scholarly studies, religious studies, cook books, children's books, art books, comics, audio books, CDs, DVDs and more.
  • Friends Preview Sale Friday October 26th from 9 am until noon
    • Current Friends of VCU Libraries donors may attend the preview sale from 9 a.m. to noon on the opening day.
    • Anyone may join the Friends by making a donation online in advance of the sale at https://www.support.vcu.edu/give/vculibrariesfriends.
    • You may also join at the door by check on the day of the preview sale.
    • Scanners are not allowed at the preview sale.

  • Our book sale is one of a kind! Culled from collections across the University and Richmond community, we will have thousands of books for sale ranging from the latest best seller to a highly sought after specialty publications in a range of disciplines: literature, fine art, comics and graphic arts, etc. Truly there is something for everyone!
  • Materials are priced from $.25 to $2, with some special prices noted (but still a bargain)
  • Cash, check, credit cards and Ram Bucks are accepted.
  • Parking is available for a fee during the week, either on the street or in VCU’s parking decks. Parking on weekends in the vicinity of the Library is free. Local neighborhood restrictions do not apply on weekends and streets with "pay parking" in the area of the Library do not require payment on weekends.
  • Limited load-out assistance is available for large purchases via our loading dock.
  • Proceeds support the mission of VCU Libraries to transform our community by enriching scholarship, learning and clinical care through our teaching, our collections and our leadership. Your purchases help to support our students in their studies!
