  • ARE YOU MISSING THE FRIENDS' BOOK SALE?
  • Have You Depleted Your Stash of Books to be Read “One Day”? Then you may be ready to engage a Personal Shopper!
  • We've missed you, too! Until we can invite the public back into the Athenaeum, the Friends of the Berkshire Athenaeum invite you to submit a list of books that you would like to read. We will try to find those books for you. However, we can't guarantee we will find them all. Here is how it will work:
    • Email us at booksale@pittsfieldlibrary.org. Provide a short list of books, including author and category/genre (fiction/nonfiction/history/etc.) which will help us find the books faster. Please let us know if you prefer paperback or hard cover. (Of course, we may not have the same books in both formats.)
    • Provide your name and phone number in the email.
    • Don't forget we also have books on CD, as well as DVDs, puzzles and games.
    • Next, we will locate the books and bag them. We are working limited hours and days, with a very small group of volunteers so it may take some time to fill your order. Please be patient, we will get back to you.
    • Finally, we will contact you to arrange a time for you to pick up and pay for your books. Pick-ups will be Monday and Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the garage doors in the Bartlett Ave parking lot. It may be possible to pick up on Tuesday evenings from 5:00 - 6:30 at the Bartlett Avenue entrance to the library.
    • Payment accepted at pick-up. We accept only cash or checks, please.
  • We hope to hear from you soon! The Friends of the Berkshire Athenaeum
