In addition to accepting donations of children’s and young-adult books, the bookmobile will be offering several fun activities for children attending this year’s Bookfest, including:
    • Create Your Own Comic Strip
    • Have Fun with Mad Libs
    • “Once Upon a Time”children take turns adding one sentence to a story. The story will be available to read on the Bookmobile website after Bookfest.

Save the dates!  The annual Summit College Club Foundation Book Sale will take place from Wednesday, April 17th through Sunday, April 21st, at the American Legion Post #433, 357 Elkwood Avenue in New Providence, NJ (next to the library).

The Book Sale is the Summit College Club Foundation‘s most important fundraiser each year.  The proceeds from the sale are used to provide college scholarships to deserving young women from local high schools.  Since the sale's inception, the Summit College Club Foundation has given out hundreds of college scholarships totaling more than one million dollars.

Wednesday, April 17th, from 9 am to 2 pm is Preview Day, when book dealers, collectors, and all book lovers will receive special access to the books for a $25 admission fee

The sale officially starts on Thursday, April 18th, and admission to the sale is free from Thursday through Sunday. For your convenience, the sale has weekday, weekend, and evening hours

Thursday & Friday, April 18th & 19th  9 am to 8 pm
Saturday, April 20th  9 am to 7 pm
Sunday, April 21st  (Bag Day)  10 am to 4 pm

More than 20,000 hardcover and paperback books, as well as CDs, DVDs, and even LPs, all in good to excellent condition, will be available, the vast majority of them priced at 50 cents to two dollars. Rare and collectible books will also be attractively priced. On the last day of the sale, Sunday, April 21st, shoppers may purchase an entire bag full of books for just $5 or $10, depending on the bag size.

Tables will overflow with books sorted into categories, including history, biography, children's books, science fiction, romance, mystery, art, architecture, travel, psychology, sports, religion, cookbooks, and many more.
