  • FOL now has an expanded indoor area with a separate entrance for Art/Architecture, Comics/Manga, and Puzzles/Games. Occupancy in these areas and in Collector's Corner will be limited.
  • Music Table: Large selection of sheet music for the classical guitarist and lots of piano tutors
  • Record Table: Very large selection of classical LPs, jazz CDs, 78rpms, and 45rpms records.
  • FOL Gainesville does not allow pre-buying of items. Everything, and everybody waits on that opening morning entry that is traditionally lead by our Scottish Bag Piper!
  • Modifications to normal procedures (including reduced occupancy rate, distancing, and masking) will be made based on COVID infection rates the weeks preceding the sale. On busy days shoppers may have to wait in line until others first leave the building.
  • All profits are used for the Alachua County Library District and community literacy projects.
  • We do not allow electronic devices for scanning purposes.

  • Shepherdstown Community Club (SCC) Annual Legendary Book Sale will be held at the War Memorial Building on German Street in historic Shepherdstown, W.V.
  • From Thursday October 14 through Sunday October 17
    • The opening Wine and Cheese Reception offering a first look will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday evening.
      • There is a $20 admission charge for non SCC Members.
    • There is no admission charge for the remainder of the sale.
    • On Friday and Saturday the sale will be held from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
    • Sunday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
  • We will have well over 60,000 books covering a wide range of subjects including books of local interest, and a number of special priced books.
    • The price is $3.00 for hard backs and $1.00 for paper backs and children's books.
  • The sale includes a unique selection of over 1,000 cook books from a community member's estate as well as books on the Civil War reflecting Shepherdstown's critical location.
  • The books are not picked over. They are coming directly from the treasured libraries of well over 100 families that have contributed books for the sale over the past two years.
