- When: Labor Day weekend dates are Friday August 29, 2025 to Monday, September 1, 2025
- Friday: 9-4 prices as marked
- Saturday: 10-4 prices as marked
- Sunday: 10-4 half price day
- Monday: 9-4 $10 for a box full of books
- What: Over 60,000 books for sale organized in 75 categories for ALL ages!
- Free admission* ($20 Early Admission Charge from 9-10am - Friday ONLY)
- Free parking and refreshments are available for purchase.

- Special collection from the Mary Travers estate
- an extensive amount of vinyl records, including Beatles albums
- a wide range of Civil War history books from a private collection
- numerous selections of cookbooks and quilting books
- sizeable offerings in photography and art, including coffee table books
- many of The Great Courses on both CDs and DVDs

- Hundreds of thousands of books and other items have been sorted and priced. All have been donated by the greater Gainesville community.
- Great Prices
- Most regular prices 25 cents to $4
- Tuesday: half price day; Wednesday: 10 cent day
- We accept cash, checks, credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
- Collector's Corner is one of the areas that sets this sale apart.
- It has a selection of first editions, signed and rare books, vintage vinyl records, maps, artwork, and other collectible items.
- Collector's Corner is open the first four days of the sale, Saturday to Tuesday.
- HUGE Children and Young Adult sections
- Expanded indoor area with a separate entrance for Art/Architecture, Comics/Manga, and Puzzles/Games.
- Occupancy in these areas and in Collector's Corner will be limited.
- Music Table: Large selection of sheet music for the classical guitarist and lots of piano tutors
- Record Table: Very large selection of classical LPs, jazz CDs, 78rpms, and 45rpms records.
- FOL Gainesville does not allow pre-buying of items. Everything, and everybody waits on that opening morning entry that is traditionally lead by our Scottish Bag Piper!
- We will follow the most current CDC guidelines at the time. We recommend masks and social distancing.. On busy days shoppers may have to wait in line until others first leave the building.
- We encourage shoppers to bring your own bags and boxes for purchases.

- Books have not been picked over. AAUW volunteers sort and edit the donated books so that we only offer for sale those books that we feel we can sell. This is the 51st sale so the volunteers are quite experienced. No sales to dealers & patrons before the sale. No buyer restrictions
