  • Collector's Corner is one of the areas that sets this sale apart.
    • It has a selection of first editions, signed and rare books, vintage vinyl records, maps, artwork, and other collectible items.
    • Collector's Corner is open the first four days of the sale, Saturday to Tuesday.
  • FOL now has an expanded indoor area with a separate entrance for Art/Architecture, Comics/Manga, and Puzzles/Games. Occupancy in these areas and in Collector's Corner will be limited.
  • Music Table: Large selection of sheet music for the classical guitarist and lots of piano tutors
  • Record Table: Very large selection of classical LPs, jazz CDs, 78rpms, and 45rpms records.
  • FOL Gainesville does not allow pre-buying of items. Everything, and everybody waits on that opening morning entry that is traditionally lead by our Scottish Bag Piper!
  • Modifications to normal procedures (including reduced occupancy rate, distancing, and masking) will be made based on COVID infection rates the weeks preceding the sale. On busy days shoppers may have to wait in line until others first leave the building.
  • All profits are used for the Alachua County Library District and community literacy projects.
  • We do not allow electronic devices for scanning purposes.

  • Presenting Thousands of Items - Printed books, audiobooks, music CDs, DVDs, and vinyl record albums. Each item has been individually priced
  • Items are sorted in one of 30+ categories and priced individually based on condition, popularity, and age.
  • As always, this year's inventory has exceptional quality and quantity and variety: fiction, non-fiction, history, biography, children’s, religion, music, cookbooks, DIY, gardening, textbooks, vinyl, and art/coffee table books.
    • Vintage and Regional Interest items are always popular. Readers of Romance will appreciate the depth of the paperback fiction donations, both classic and ‘almost new’ tales of happily-ever-after.
    • Based on customer requests, a category for Sports and Transportation will contain books on professional athletes, sports, fitness, automobiles, trains, airplanes, etc.
    • Birders and other nature lovers will find gems in the Nature and Outdoors category.
  • Our donations have NOT been picked over or scanned for online selling of the gems.
    • All donations have been received since the 2021 Book Fair. Less than 5% of donations are former library items.
  • Items are displayed in multiple rooms (at least 3 rooms!)
    • Enjoy a pleasant shopping experience in each venue!
    • Easier social distancing 
  • Book Dealers welcomed. Use of scanners is accepted.
    • No items have been screened or pre-scanned. Donations have not been picked over.
