Citrus County opened this Disaster Recovery Shelter on Saturday, September 28. The shelter is located at the Citrus Springs Community Center, 1570 West Citrus Springs Blvd, Citrus Springs, Florida 34434.
A Disaster Recovery Shelter provides a place for those who are temporary displaced from their home due to Hurricane Helene. The shelter is managed by the American Red Cross who will provide a place to sleep, meals and disaster case management to assist those in finding a permanent location or other services. If you plan on coming to the shelter, you are only provided with a cot and blanket. Be sure to bring toiletries and other personal items including anything else to make your stay more comfortable.

Citrus County Transit provides transportation at no cost to an open shelter or other safe location within Citrus County. To book transportation, please call: (352) 527-763
